How do I Fulfill the General Education Math Requirement?
To succeed in college math, you will need to know high school pre-algebra courses in areas such as fractions, decimals, percentages and early foundation algebra courses. These courses will bring you up to a State’s benchmark for high school math proficiency. You will need to determine if you have completed at minimum the second year of algebra studies or trigonometry in high school. If you haven’t, then you may want to look for second year algebra II class, however units cannot count toward college graduation, only advanced algebra (II) or intermediate algebra online math courses will lead to fulfilling the general education math requirement.
